The United Nations' World Program endorses Promasidor Nigeria’s partnership with Zowasel in the fight against hunger in Nigeria

As part of Promasidor Nigeria's continued efforts to bolster backward integration initiatives and accelerate local food production in the country, the company recently participated in a UN WFP’s (World Food Project) scheme – The Zero Hunger Sprint innovation Challenge. The scheme was launched by “The Zero Hunger Roundtable” – a multi sector forum aimed at collectively addressing food challenges in Nigeria.
Through this UN World Food Program, Zowasel has secured an investment of N21 million from Promasidor Nigeria on the 30 July, 2021.
Discussing the investment in Zowasel to better enable smallholder farmers in the country, Mr Bruno Gruwez, stated that “We are backing Zowasel, a promising start-up with the ambition to step-change access, capability and income for smallholder farmers.”
To further discuss future plans and the partnership between Zowasel and Promasidor Nigeria, the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zowasel, a Nigerian-based agritech startup, Mr Jerry Oche, on Monday, 16 August 2021 paid a visit to Promasidor Head Office.
