Onga joins forces with the August Women meeting in Eastern Nigeria
The Onga Women Tour 2022 marked its last phase of activation through its partnership with the August Women Meeting, an annual gathering of women from the Eastern part of Nigeria.
This activation, a consumer-focused event, was used to drive brand interaction and product trials.
For 2022, a total of 15 000 women attended the event in the 15 communities activated. The event included the unveiling of Onga Jollof seasoning as a highlight amidst other activities such as cooking demonstrations of Ofe Nsala (a local delicacy in the East) dancing competitions and other engaging activities, which culminated in a grand cooking competition.
The cooking competition held between four participants in each community who won amazing gifts such as refrigerators, gas cookers, microwaves and blenders.
As part of the event, a free medical exercise for blood pressure/BMI check-ups and consultations was carried out. The event ended with all attendees going home with Onga-branded free gifts such as buckets, aprons, and serving spoons.
