The General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency(LASEPA) visits Promasidor Nigeria
The General Manager (GM) of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Dr (Mrs) Dolapo Fasawe, paid a visit to Promasidor Head Office on the 31 August 2021.
Dr. Dolapo led a team of 14 officials, including the Chief Public Affairs Officer for LASEPA, Mrs Bukola Ajao, and Head of Engineering Services, Eng. Adereti, to assess the operations of our company with respect to the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and the Circular Economy Strategy, as well as Promasidor's compliance to the sustainability drive of the Lagos State Government.
Mr John Ikemenogo, Senior Manager Technical, took the GM and her team through the history of the company and its operations on waste management as well as its recycling system to the amazement of the GM and her team.Â
In her remarks, the GM commended Promasidor for the efforts made in developing and maintaining a world class waste system to protect the environment. She further stated that Promasidor Nigeria (PNG) will no longer be required to make payment for treating effluent discharge to the state government. She reinstated that PNG will be immediately recommended to the Governor of Lagos State for an award on business sustainability as the first company in Lagos to have a 100% Circular Economy Strategy on waste materials.
A representative of the agency was also appointed to study Promasidor’s waste system to enable recommendations for other companies in Lagos State to emulate.
